Catalysts for improved thermo-oxidative stability of Polypropylene
Hybrid Catalysis BV announces a collaboration with professor Giovanni Camino to find conceptually new flame retardants. Proof of principle is provided now. The incorporation of metal containing, silsequioxane based, catalysts strongly improves the thermooxidative stability of PP, as shown by retarded maximum weight loss rate temperature of PP-composites, with delays ranging from 50 to 60°C.

For the current pilot, Hybrid Catalysis BV can routinely produce R&D catalysts batches up to 1kg while the Italian center is known for the elevated interaction with a broad segment of the polymer industry. Clearly, we welcome industrial assignments.
